What can I say about this amazing band that already hasn't been said? The first time I saw their debut video on YouTube (Amaranthine) I fell in love with them. Elize's angelic vocals giving me goose bumps, Jake E's perfect harmonizing and the subtle yet unterstandable growlings of Andreas. and then we have the tight clean hard hitting sounds of Olof, Morten and Johan. From their Debut album Amaranthe to the present Helix, they have continued to impress me. When Henrik replaced Andreas he amped up the growls to it's utmost awesomeness (yes I said awesomeness) and was a clean transition. Then Nils came along to replace Jake E, and gave Amaranthe a slightly different sound at times I find Nils is trying too hard and not letting himself relax. At this I say "Nils if you are in Amaranthe you have already impressed them no need to keep over doing it."
I am trying to refrain from over talking about Elize Ryd because I could go on and on about her beauty, her wonderful attitude etc. Because I will leave a future blog just for her.
So if you haven't heard Amaranthe yet I suggest you give them a listen.
